What you should know:
Buying a home is often the single largest purchase most people will ever make. And a signed offer is a legally-binding contract with many clauses outlining your rights and obligations. So it only makes sense that you have credible advice to rely on when entering into such an agreement.
The space we live in, the neighbours we interact with, the people we socialize with, the schools our children attend and the friends they make there are all decided by the home we choose to buy. With so much riding on one decision, expert assistance is critical. And so is making sure that the 'right' home doesn't slip past, unnoticed.
The traditional methods of finding a home - reading the real estate section in the local paper and visiting open houses exposes buyers to only a fraction of the properties available at any given time, and often puts the buyer in direct contact with the listing agent. Always remember, the listing agent is under contract to the seller to get them the most money possible from the buyer, and has a clear and vested interest in trying to convince you to buy that particular home. The more recently developed method of searching MLS.CA can be just as inefficient. It can be time-consuming, is often out of date, and leaves only one place for the buyer to get additional
information: the seller's listing agent.
How we will work together:
We are proud of the flexibility we offer our clients. Everyone is different, so no two experiences are exactly alike. However, our basic model works like this: you tell us what you're looking for, and we'll send you a snapshot of any and all available listings that match your criteria. If you want to see any of them in person, give us a call and we'll set up a private showing for you at a time of your choosing. Either way, we'll follow up with you to make sure that you have received the information we have sent, and to find out if you need any changes made to your criteria based on what we sent. At some point, we will set up a short meeting with you, so that we can get to know each other a little bit. After all, Real Estate is about people, not property, and it's important that we feel comfortable with each other. This also presents a great opportunity for us to learn more about your particular situation, so that we can do the best job possible for you. For first time buyers in particular, this can be quite informative - there is a lot to know when buying one's first home, and we will take as much or as little time explaining the process and potential pitfalls as you like.
If you decide you would like to take advantage of our full service (which is also free), we will set up an ongoing search for you. Through this search, you will gain priority access to the latest listings the moment they come on the market. As a result, you will know about the best bargains long before they show up in Real Estate publications, newspapers of the public MLS website. Again, all you need to do is let us know when you would like to view a home in person, and we will set it up for you. If you decide to buy, we will guide you through the process and paperwork, and make sure that you are protected and informed along the way.
